OUR PRODUCTS - MOVING WALKWAYS

Moving Walkways
Moving walkways, also known as travelators or moving sidewalks, are horizontal conveyor systems that transport people over short to medium distances. They are typically used in public transportation settings such as airports, train stations, and malls. Similar to escalators, moving walkways consist of a metal track or pathway, but unlike escalators, they are typically flat and do not have steps. The walkway moves at a constant speed, allowing people to stand or walk on it and be transported from one point to another. Moving walkways are designed to improve the flow of pedestrian traffic and reduce congestion in busy areas.

Types of Moving Walkways
(i) Based on Direction of Travel
- Horizontal moving walkways: Also known as flat moving walkways, are designed to move people on a horizontal surface, such as through a large open space in an airport or a shopping center. They consist of a flat surface with a conveyor belt that moves people along the length of the walkway.
- Inclined moving walkways: Are designed to transport people up or down an incline, such as a hill or a building. They are commonly used in areas with steep inclines or multiple levels, such as subways, train stations, or hilly urban areas. They consist of a series of steps that move people along the incline, similar to a staircase, but with a continuous moving surface.
- Circular moving walkways: Also known as rotunda moving walkways, are designed to transport people in a circular or elliptical path. They are often used in large public spaces, such as airports, convention centers, and shopping malls, to move people between different areas. They consist of a continuous belt that moves people in a circular path, with the option to exit at various points along the way.
